Sharp, Japanese Multinational Corporation publicized a new handset with Physical and Message Buttons entitled as “Sharp Basio 2 SHV36”. This device is aimed at old aged people and vision impaired people. and is the first handset in Sharp Brand running Android Marshmallows. Smartphone will be at one’s disposal from August 5th onwards in Japan. It will be available in Red, Blue and Gold color variants.

• Three quick on screen buttons are visioned. Home, Physical and Message Buttons. Physical button let users to quickly access phone dialer and call log whereas the Message button let users to their emails and text messages. Both buttons have built-in LED’s for notifications. Price not revealed yet.

• Features a special built-in magnifier with large icons for aged people and people with vision problems.

• 1.5 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 617 MSM 6952 processor with 2 GB of RAM

• Adreno 405 GPU

• 16 GB storage space expandable via Micro Card SD

• 13 MP rear camera protected by sliding cover with LED flash and 5 MP front facing camera

• Single-Sim runs Android OS 6.0.1 Marshmallows out of the box

• 2810 mAh Li-polymer non removable battery delivers 490 hours of stand by time and 22 hours of talk time

• It holds IP55 and IP58 certifications for dust and water proof

• Measures 9.30 mm thick and weighs 150 grams
